Dividend Track is a dividend income tracker. It was built privacy-first: there is no Dividend Track account, no Dividend Track server, and no analytics. Your holdings never leave your phone. This policy explains exactly what the app does with data — which is very little.
None. Dividend Track has no backend of its own. We, the developers, do not receive, store, or have any access to your holdings, transactions, imported files, or how you use the app. There is nothing for us to collect, because that data never travels to us.
Everything Dividend Track remembers stays on your iPhone:
Deleting the app removes all of this from your device.
To show dividend history and projections, the app has to ask a market-data provider about the companies you track. When it refreshes, Dividend Track sends the ticker symbols in your portfolio — and nothing else — to its data provider over HTTPS. By default that provider is Yahoo Finance; if you supply your own API key in Settings, requests go to that provider instead.
Your share counts, cost basis, account names, and income totals are never included in those requests. The provider sees only which symbols were asked about, in the same way it would if you looked those companies up on its website. We receive nothing.
Market data providers have their own privacy policies governing requests made to them.
Dividend Track Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple's own StoreKit framework; we never see or handle your payment details, and there is no third-party subscription service involved. Your subscription status is read directly from Apple on your device.
Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Dividend Track contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no cross-app tracking, and no data brokers. Nothing you do in the app is sold or used for advertising or measurement, so the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Your data stays on your device, protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). Any API key you add is stored in the iOS Keychain. All network requests use HTTPS.
Dividend Track is a tracking and analytics tool. It does not connect to your brokerage, place trades, or provide investment, tax, or financial advice. Projected income is an estimate based on past dividends — companies can cut, suspend, or change a dividend at any time. Figures shown are for your own record-keeping and are not a tax document.
Dividend Track is intended for adults managing their own investments and is not directed at children under 13.
